Community Computing Centre (CCC), Lower Floor
We offer a wide range of public computing options, assistance and classes. Our Digital Experience Team is here to help. Visit us in person, call 604.925.7405 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We can tell you about the many classes, events and drop-ins that we offer in The Lab, our Digital Learning Space, and answer your technolgy-related questions.
Public Computers - 22 PC workstations in the CCC and two in the adjacent Quiet Study room are equipped with MS Office and provide access to a network printer and scanners. An iMac workstation (also equipped with MS Office and wireless printing) is available in the CCC.
Multimedia Studio - two additional PC workstations with large screen monitors and webcams where you can Skype, use Mango Languages, view Lynda.com tutorials, digitize photos, negatives and slides, use Photoshop Elements, Microsoft Publisher, Camtasia or Audacity. You can request a booking in person or online for up to three hours per day. Please note, if you are more than 15 minutes late for your booking your spot may be given to someone else.
Adaptive Technology - we can adapt our computers to better suit your physical needs by offering you a variety of accessories: a high contrast keyboard, screen magnifier, ergonomic mouse, touchpad or trackball mouse.
Group Study Booths - for collaborative computing functionality. Each booth accommodates a group of up to 6 people. Plug your laptop or tablet into the monitors to share multiple screens of information, work collaboratively on a shared document or play computer games. Adaptors to connect devices to the monitors can be borrowed at the Community Computing Centre Information Desk.
