The Library will open for borrowing on July 7. Starting July 7, visit us 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Tuesday – Saturday for browsing or make an appointment to use a public computer. Due to reduced occupancy, meeting rooms, study space, and seating are not available at this time.
Items borrowed before the Library's closure on March 9 have had their due dates extended. Please monitor due dates and return your items to our book drops between Monday and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Find all service updates here.
Borrowing privileges are granted to those with West Vancouver Memorial Library cards. You may have up to 50 items checked out at any given time.
Self check-out stations are located in the Main Hall and in the Youth Department. For staff assistance, please take your materials to the Account Services Desk. You will need your Library card number with you. If we have your email address, we will remind you when your borrowed materials are due -- three days in advance! To ensure you receive our circulation notices by email, please add email@example.com to your list of pre-approved senders.

For adult materials, cardholders may request a six-week borrowing period on all items except new books, magazines, new and holiday dvds, and video tablets.
For youth materials, cardholders may request a six-week borowing period on books, audiobooks and dvds.
Six-week loans are only available on the permitted items if there are no subsequent holds.
Provided there are no holds on items, you may renew items you have checked out up to the maximum number of renewals by logging into your account online, by calling Account Services at 604-925-7404 (have your Library card number ready) or in person.

A hold places you on a waiting list for an item if it is not currently available. You may also place a hold on an item that is available, if you would like it to be put aside for you. You may place a hold online, in person, or by calling us at 604-925-7403 (be sure to have your library card number ready.)
We will email you when your hold is available for pick-up. You have 7 days in which to pick up your requested item at the Holds Pick-up Shelf next to the Account Services Desk.
There is a $1 charge for holds that are not picked up.
View, cancel or temporarily suspend your holds by logging in to your Account and clicking on On Hold.
You may return all material during open hours. When the Library is closed you may return items through the book drop at the front of the Library.
Items that must returned to the Account Services Desk during open hours will be marked as such.
You may return books, dvds, videos and audiobooks to any Interlink public library. If returned by the due date, you will not be charged for the transit time. Allow up to one week for your account to reflect that the item(s) has been returned to WVML.

We accept payment by cash, cheque, or credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express). All payments can be made in person. Payments by credit card may be made online by logging in to Your Account in the Classic Catalogue.
Lost or non-returned items will be charged at full replacement cost plus a handling fee. A cost assessment will be made for damaged items. Please visit the Account Services Desk should you have any concerns about the condition of your borrowed material.
